Sea Kayak Day Tours
Okeover Inlet- Explore the sheltered waters of Okeover Inlet- the Gateway to Desolation Sound. This is a great area for newer paddlers or experienced paddlers. Spectacular scenery including Native pictographs, arbutus trees, shellfish farms and abundant sea life make this a great local paddling destination.
Powell River Waterfront/Hulks- The Powell River waterfront offers great scenery, nice beaches and amenities (such as ice cream stands) close by. Explore the area from Willingdon Beach north to the Hulks. These cement ships from WW2 are used by the mill as a floating breakwater. Some of these ships have quite a storied past. Venture past the Hulks to Gibsons Beach and the Sliammon waterfront, over to Harwood Island and make a day of it.
Powell Lake- A tour in Powell Lake offers the same spectacular scenery as any of the ocean tours. Launch in either Mowat Bay or by the Shinglemill and enjoy the spectacular rocky shores. Although we pass by the occasional float cabin, the Powell Lake waterfront is in many ways more pristine and uninhabited than the ocean coastline in the area. Stop at the sandy beaches of Haywire Bay for a swim.
